Coco the Maltepoo: Close Up

Close Up

I snapped the cutest picture of Coco. His ears look so tan in this picture. He looks like a girl very much in this picture. (But he is proud of it so no worries!) Take a look at his tail too.............. (I took that pic before his haircut, but his tail is just as long now). Each time he has been groomed, I've had them leave the tail long. Zoom in too, you can see every little hair on the tail. It's the only place on his entire body besides his ears where you can still see a bit of apricot from his puppy coat! (Because they have never been fully cut like the rest of his body) We are growing Strawberries right now.............There are a few flowers popping up with tiny little green strawberries inside! In a few weeks they should be red. I am excited, just in time for strawberry smoothies for summer! I will be sure to take pictures of them when they grow. But........I don't think they will be as red as Lisa's! I just hope they taste good, LOL.

Hey Coco,

Thank you for the compliments on our house. It's 36 years old which is not too old in years but it had not been taken care of by the last people that owned. Our little city here, the land is so valuable now that people are bulldozing the older homes that are really small and building new, bigger ones. But the homes along the waterfront here are so huge and the new ones are grand.
Our house is the third smallest house in the neighborhood, I think. It's 2000 SF but that's small compared to the houses around us. We've done a lot of work like put a new roof on, paint the outside, put tile down on the kitchen floor, get new air conditioners (two central units). Fix the pool, paint some of the inside, put in new windows and doors (except the front doors). Put up plantation shutters inside. Then we cleared out that front area and have pavers put down and had the fence put across the courtyard area and put in that fountain. That's my favorite things so far. I have three more projects I want to do to the house and the kitchen is the biggest. My husband doesn't realize how much it's going to cost and I tell him he laughs at me. He doesn't do anything on credit so I have to have a big bundle of cash ready when I commit to the kitchen. So that's why it's taking me so long to get the kitchen going. I keep spending my money on other things!! I also need a kitchen designer to help me with the layout and the husband poo-poos that idea. Of course, I tell him "you work on the yard and let me work on the inside of the house." I think it will get done but we have a condo that needs all new stuff from being torn up in the hurricane. But once we get that fixed and rented out and bringing in some income it will be easier for me to save for the kitchen. We haven't rented the condo in two years but we've had the mortgage and owners' fees and insurance to pay as usual.
Anyway, I'll take some pictures and make a post about the kitchen one day.

Ragus ~ It sounds like you have a done a lot! I know what you mean though, the city we used to live in has old homes and then right now store, brand new enourous ones. They didn't fit in too well, but the older ones were taken care of very nicely like you do yours so it was fine. Sooner or later though...New took over! I love looking at the older ones, they have such "pride" in them. OH! You got Pavers... I love them! We'd like some for the front yard. Are they hard to put in?

WillowBelle ~
OH MY GOD. I cannot believe it! How ironic was that.....A MALTEPOO! Not me, so it was someone else :) Thats great to hear they are out there. NOW...If they would just come to Blogger!!

Marsha.......thank you so much. I love hearing from you and what you say about my Coco. It makes me happy =)

Hey Coco, the pavers were put in by a company that does that. We don't know how to do anything around here ourselves...the husband can do yard work but not anything that requires any equipment or leveling and grid work. But we had it done in three stages because it was pretty expensive having it done by a company. When they finished they dump sand on it and you get out there with a broom and sweep, sweep, sweep to get it down in the cracks. I think we spent almost $6,000 on the paver work.
